About Me

AboutMeImageGrowing up, I was surrounded by a large immediate family with five siblings and an exceptionally large extended family. I was often lovingly called a “baby-whisperer” and “baby hog” starting early in childhood. I loved everything baby related that there was to love! Thanks to being homeschooled, I had the opportunity to focus on health, anatomy, and physiology classes.

In 2015, while living in Birmingham, Alabama, I was invited to attend a dear friend’s birth as a “trial run” as I was extremely interested in doula work but had never seen a live birth! I fell in love with the line of work. While still in high school, I was able to attend my workshop and complete my certification to be a DONA (Doulas Of North America) Certified Birth Doula. I found every opportunity possible and spent all my free time nannying or being with mamas and their littles.

In 2018, I attended the workshop to begin certifying as a Postpartum Doula through DONA. Around a year after that, I moved to Indianapolis, Indiana to attend Indiana Wellness College to complete their Massage Therapy Program. In June of 2020, I finished school and passed my MBLEx – becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist. I chose to open my own business, Happy Juju, LLC! I wanted to be able to be self-employed to work all differing aspects of my career plan together.

My husband, Logan, and I are Christians – first and foremost. We attend Avon Heights Church of Christ and we love our family there. In our spare time outside of work, we enjoy drinking lots of coffee, playing board games, exploring new places, cooking, baking, eating delicious food, and spending quality time with loved ones.
